Two new Introductions - Capersita & Floregano

28 June 2012

Koppert Cress recently introduced two new products: Capersita & Floregano, a beautiful addition within the current assortment of specialties.

Both flowers are year-round available and can easily be stored up to seven days at a temperature of 2°-4°C. The products are ready to use, since it is grown clean and hygienically.

Floregano
The aroma of Floregano is instantly reminiscent of the Mediterranean. The wonderful oregano-like character means it has a wide range of uses, for instance in oriental and lamb dishes. Floregano originates from the Mediterranean region. The powerful character of the flower can be recognised in its aroma and colour.

Capersita
Capersita, with its striking yellow, red and green colours, is very decorative. The flower has a characteristic fresh, slightly bitter taste. That makes it ideal for use in mousse and in vegetarian or game dishes.
The mother plant of these flowers originates from tropical Africa. The fruits appear as clusters on the plant. During the growth period, the fruits change colour; red and green dominate.
