Taste and Usage
Kikuna Cress® is the Koppert Cress brand name for an edible plant. Kikuna Cress is a decorative cress variety with the clean flavour of carrot and celery. The cress goes well with Japanese fish dishes and salads, as well as with lamb and veal. In fact, Kikuna Cress is tasty in any dish which calls for carrots.
The plant has been used in Asia for centuries, mainly as a herb to season dishes. Every part of the plant is edible, but the young leaves are preferred. It is a typically Asian plant, with numerous uses as an ingredient and as a garnish.
